DESCRIPTION:
A timeless mid-century coffee table designed by Bas van Pelt (1900-1945).
In 1931, Bas van Pelt became the owner of the shop "my home furnishings" in The Hague, which he transformed into a leading business in the field of modern home furnishings. He was known for his functionalist designs and the production of his own furniture. He played an important role in the Dutch design world of the interwar period.
The coffee table has a chrome tubular frame that flows seamlessly into the top. The solid wooden top is finished with a walnut veneer, which gives the table a beautiful, warm character. An aluminum edge surrounds the top. The table is marked on the bottom. In short, a beautiful piece of designer furniture for those who appreciate the work of this timeless designer.

CONDITION:
In good condition. The top had some spots and has been sanded and re-lacquered. There is one spot on the top where a piece is visible through the veneer. The chrome has some minor blemishes. (See the last photos for a better idea of the condition.)

This item can be picked up at the showroom in Amsterdam South, but can also be personally delivered throughout the Netherlands and abroad. Within Amsterdam, the charge is €40. Outside Amsterdam, delivery starts at €30. (Request a quote.)

WELCOME TO THE SHOWROOM: You are welcome to visit our 500m² showroom in Amsterdam South, opposite the UMC hospital. It is easily accessible by public transport and car. It is located right next to the A10 ring road. The showroom is located outside the low-emission zone. Free parking is available on-site for customers.
