Atmospheric vintage Cocoon pendant lamp from the 1960s/70s, likely produced by Goldkant. The organically shaped shade consists of a metal wire frame over which the characteristic translucent Cocoon material is stretched. The vertical ribs give the lamp its sculptural, almost flower-like form. The lighting effect is particularly beautiful. When the lamp is lit, the material emits a soft and warm diffused light, while the dark metal frame becomes visible through the shade as graphic lines.
The exterior of the shade is well preserved for its age and still has a slight sheen. Age patina is visible on the inside. A small piece of the cocoon material is missing locally along the bottom opening. The metal frame is in good condition and shows no significant oxidation. The wiring and socket have been replaced, making the lamp ready for use again.
Dimensions are as follows: height 31 cm, diameter 35 cm.
Carefully selected vintage design. Professionally restored where necessary, with respect for the original design, craftsmanship, and the materials used.
