Beautiful, authentic vintage design bowl/vase by the Italian brand Cive.
This iconic design combines craftsmanship with a unique mix of materials and colors, typical of mid-century Italian glassware.
The bowl/vase consists of three parts: a goblet-shaped top of orange satin-finished (matte) glass, a burgundy base, and a characteristic center ring of solid wood.
Features:
Origin: Italy (Murano style), brand Cive.
Condition: In very good vintage condition. A special feature of this piece is that there is absolutely no play between the parts; the connections are solid and sturdy.
A small, imperceptible scratch on the base (likely surface contamination, possibly removable with an eraser).
Wood: A tiny chip in the center of the ring (easily camouflaged with some oil).
Condition: Despite the small blemishes, the item is in good vintage condition. (See photos 12 and 13)
Details: On the inside of the bowl, a subtle, matte band of approx. 1 cm is visible at the point where the glass curves out.
This is a beautiful, authentic characteristic of the hand-blown process and is not visible from the outside.
