DESCRIPTION:
A beautiful designer floor lamp from the Danish brand Gubi, designed by Robert Dudley. This lamp is a true design classic. It is part of the Bauhaus Bestlite series. The lamp can be easily adjusted by slightly lifting the neck, which allows it to move along the stem. The head can also be adjusted by simply moving it. The lamp can also be rotated on its base.
The Architects Journal called the Bestlite the first Bauhaus product in the United Kingdom. This brought the lamp to the attention of design enthusiasts across the country. Public demand grew when Winston Churchill personally chose the Bestlite BL1 table lamp for his desk. This helped secure the iconic status of the Bestlite brand.
The Bestlite BL3 floor lamp in Brass/Black was designed in 1930 by Robert Dudley Best. Best was a British designer known for his influences on the Bauhaus school. The clean lines and elegant appearance offer a unique simplicity combined with a flexible arm and adjustable shade. The Bestlite BL3 floor lamp can be used as a reading light in any corner of the modern home.
