DESCRIPTION:
A unique Oriental display cabinet. These cabinets are from the 70's when there was a revival of Chinoiserie. This style originated in the mid-18th century where entire castles were filled with Chinese and oriental furniture and objects. So during the 70s this kind of furniture was made and no 1 is the same. All elements are put on by hand, so it always has an artistic touch.
You can clearly see the hand-painted lines. It is painted on all sides, even inside. On top of this, mother of pearl and colored soapstone have been used to create an extra dimension. Pictured here are traditionally dressed noble ladies with musical instruments and a couple of playing children.
The cabinet consists of 2 parts. the upper cabinet is the display case with a mirrored back and glass shelves with rounded corners. And below is a closed cabinet with 2 levels.
In short, a unique and very beautiful cabinet, ideal for any bohemian decorated space.
The cabinet has lighting with a long plug with a switch.
