A solid, handcrafted narrow and tall chest of drawers with 2 small drawers and 5 large drawers, made of cherry and burr walnut veneer, standing on bracket legs. Based on an antique model from the 18th century, manufactured by Burton Reproductions Limited, England, circa 1980, marked on the inside with the maker's sticker.
Burton Reproductions Limited was a prominent English furniture manufacturer, often associated with the production of high-quality, traditional mahogany and yew wood furniture during the 20th century, particularly in the 1970s.
This beautiful chest of drawers is very functional; due to its compact size, it can be used in many rooms and is also nice as a hallway cabinet. The horizontal lines in the drawers are not damage but are imperfections in the burr veneer (likely the joints that have been filled in between the strips of veneer). This item is in good, used vintage condition, with some imperfections, such as a long, superficial moisture or drip stain along the right side (fully dried), some signs of wear along the corners and edges, and some chips in the veneer; please check the photos for more details! Despite this, this cabinet still looks fantastic!
