Centerpiece, vase, ceramic, paisley print, ETRO, 80's, 90's - Italy
Spectacular ceramic centerpiece designed in the 80's or 90's of the previous century by Etro. Its entire surface is profusely decorated with the paisley pattern, a water drop or teardrop-shaped design, full of plant-inspired curved lines, retro and bohemian character, characteristic of the 70's, of the "psychedelic era", that Gerolamo Gimmo Etro, founder of the brand, met during a trip to India. Admired by this characteristic print, he made it one of the main inspirations for his collections, evoking exotic and faraway places. Both the top and bottom rim, as well as the two small handles, are mustard-colored.
About ETRO
Etro is a luxury fashion house, manufacturer of fabrics, accessories and fragrances of Italian origin, based in Milan. It was founded in 1966 by Gerolamo Gimmo Etro, who spent part of his life traveling, and it was during one of his travels around the world, specifically in India, when he discovered the paisley print, and this was the event that changed everything forever. His traveler's zeal continues to bring to the brand a vision that has matured with him. The brand is characterized by the quality of the materials and the taste for finishes, in addition to its commitment to sustainability.
I think paisley has an aristocratic yet wild and exotic feel to it," says Veronica Etro, current creative director of the women's line and Gimmo's daughter.
