Product description
Beautiful San Damiano cross in carved wood relief, Franciscan religious art, inspired by the famous crucifix associated with Saint Francis of Assisi. Vintage, circa 1960s-1980s, European or Slavic work. Beautiful hand-carved interpretation, depicting Christ surrounded by various biblical and religious figures, with a scene of the Ascension at the top. The wood is beautifully grained, in natural shades ranging from light to dark brown. Wall hanging attachment on the back. 31.5cm high, 22cm wide, and approximately 2cm thick. Very good condition, nothing noticeable. Approximately 350g.
