Vintage Statement Armchair | Regency Revival | Cane
A chair that immediately catches the eye. This generous vintage armchair features a beautiful black wooden frame and a fully hand-woven cane seat and back.
The large round backrest is particularly beautifully crafted: the weaving runs around an openwork floral/rosette medallion and is framed by a subtly fluted edge. The gracefully curved armrests and tapered legs also give the chair its elegant, neoclassical appearance.
The design is strongly reminiscent of Italian Regency Revival chairs from the 60s/70s.
The black finish has acquired a beautiful natural patina over the years. The cane weaving is still in beautiful condition.
