Fantastic vintage leather lounge chair with matching ottoman, produced around the 1970s. The design clearly takes inspiration from the Bauhaus movement of the 1920s — think tubular chrome frames, natural materials, and neutral tones. No frills, no excess, just functional elegance at its best.
The chair is in excellent condition, with barely a thing to note besides maybe a loose stitch if you really go looking for it. The leather is soft, supple, and free from thin spots or cracks. The frame is constructed from shiny chrome tubing, which not only nods to Bauhaus but also feels reminiscent of Italian design from the same era. Maybe the designer was Italian? We’ll probably never know, but it does make for a fun conversation starter when friends come over.
The black leather seat is suspended on a sturdy canvas sling, and we can confidently say this is one of the most comfortable chairs we’ve ever sunk into. It’s the kind of chair you settle into on a Sunday morning and then somehow find yourself still in it by dinner. The ottoman (or footstool, if you prefer) makes the whole experience even better — perfect for putting your feet up and staying put.
