Charming vintage hedgehog-shaped terracotta dish by B.A.F. West Germany, dating from the 1970s. Originally designed as a watercress grower—the textured surface allowed watercress seeds to sprout into a lush green "coat of spines"—today it also makes a beautiful catchall for jewellery or keys, a fruit or bread dish, or a decorative centrepiece.
A wonderful example of playful West German pottery with a timeless rustic and Scandinavian aesthetic.
Dimensions: approx. 23 × 18 × 5 cm.
Condition: Very good vintage condition with light signs of age and use. No chips or cracks.
