Magnificent ashtray created in the 1950s by artist-sculptor Herta Baller from a design by designer Walter Bosse.
Black and gold patinated and polished brass.
Superb original piece signed in the brass at the bottom.
In perfect, unused condition.

Walter Bosse [1904-1979], was a renowned Austrian ceramist, designer and artist, who attended the renowned Wiener Kunstgewerbeschule.
Credited with thousands of works and models of ceramic pieces, Walter Bosse was extremely prolific.
The Austrian modernist sculptor and ceramist was best known for his distinctive "Black Golden" series of decorative objects.
