Louis Dage (1935- 1957) art deco enamelled ceramics from the Antony workshop (1921-1934) Height: 30 cm Diameter: 20 cm He was born in Lille in 1885 and died in Saint-Sever in 1963. His career took place first in northern France (Fives-Lille, Nimy in Belgium, Billancourt, Antony) and then in Saint-Sever. In 1920, he founded the Faïencerie d'Art d'Antony (95), in partnership with Eugène Val, an important member of the Chambre Syndicale de la Céramique et de la Verrerie, where he collaborated with : Jean de La Fontinelle (a specialist in animal decorations), André Villien (a vase signed by both men attests to this fact), - Georges Cassin (between 1936 and 1937, he worked at the Manufacture Nationale de Sèvres, then at the Boch factory in Belgium). Louis Dage supplies the "Pomone" art studio of the "Au bon marché" department store. He was named "Best Worker in France" in 1925. Around 1934, he takes part in the fitting-out of the Normandie liner. In 1935, the Faïencerie d'Art d'Antony company was dissolved.
