Product description
This beautiful sculptural coffee table in tempered glass and aluminum was designed in the 1960s by German designer Knut Hesterberg for Ronald Schmitt. The table features a very elegant frame with four sculptural columns of solid, ground and polished aluminum. Knut Hesterberg is a world-renowned German sculptor who began his career at the graphic arts and design studio in Zurich, Switzerland. In the late 1960s, he designed sculptural table forms, primarily for Ronald Schmitt Eberbach and, to a very limited extent, for Bacher Tische in Renningen near Stuttgart, bringing art into people's everyday lives. This high-quality, aerodynamically shaped coffee table will impress in any setting and interior. The table is in very good vintage condition, with some minor signs of wear (including two small blemishes on the glass top, see photos).
