This wall lamp was designed by Albano Poli and manufactured by Poliarte in Verona in 1974. The better-known Poliarte Vesta wall lamp, which features a similar aesthetic, was also designed in the same year.
Designer Albano Poli founded his light art company in Verona, Italy, in 1968. Each lamp was handcrafted, primarily using Murano glass from Venice. Poliarte lamps are recognizable by their "broken" and/or "hammered" crystal glass, set on or within an aluminum or carbon steel base.
This wall lamp uses hammered Murano glass; the coarse texture of the glass creates beautiful illumination of both the lamp itself and the wall against which it is placed.
This lamp has been part of our private collection for decades. Because we still own several larger Poliarte lamps, we would now like to offer this wall lamp to an enthusiast at a reasonable price.
