Product description
Beautiful vintage mid-20th-century carved wooden sculpture depicting a standing woman carrying a jar on her head. Made from dark-stained wood, it is a fine example of craftsmanship. Likely originating from West Africa, it is reminiscent of Baoulé sculpture. Attribution is uncertain. A beautiful decorative piece of tribal art.
56.5 cm high, base approximately 13 cm in diameter and 10 cm deep. Good overall condition, with some wear, minor scuffs/scratches, and signs of age consistent with its age, but no missing pieces. Approximately 1 kg.
