Elegant soliflore vase, Murano blown glass, Venetian craftsmanship from the 1950s-60s. Filigrana or Zanfirico decoration, in red and colorless glass, is embedded within the glass. The bulbous body has a long, narrow, slightly flared neck with a scalloped rim, accented by two twisted handles in the form of coiled serpents entwined around the neck, applied while hot. The base of the body is decorated with five red stems, and the tall, slender foot is decorated with two coiled red stems, resting on a flat, round base. Inspired by the 16th-century "vetri a serpenti" style.
29cm high, approximately 8cm maximum diameter, 9cm wide at the handles. Mint condition, no cracks or chips, only a few discreet surface scratches on the upper part of the body (approximately 2cm). Approximately 200g.
