Design & Concept
This vase belongs to Rosenthal’s ambitious “Art Collection” program, in which internationally renowned artists were invited to translate their visual vocabulary into porcelain form. Few collaborations captured the spirit of the era as powerfully as Victor Vasarely’s contribution.
The surface is wrapped in a rigorous black-and-white grid punctuated by circular interruptions, creating a vibrating optical field characteristic of Vasarely’s pioneering Op Art works.
