Vintage White Vase - Charleston - Porcelain - Vladimír Tichý - Royal Dux - Brussels Style Czech Republic - 1960 A masterpiece of the "Brussels Style". White vase designed in 1960 by Vladimír Tichý, the great sculptor of the prestigious Royal Dux factory. A very rare piece, as shown here, in perfect condition due to its delicate fragility. This work was first published in the magazine 'Domov' 1961, no. 6, p. 64, image 4. Tichý is one of the artists who made the "Brussels style" famous in the 50s and 60s. A graduate of the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, he belongs to the generation of Czech artists of the second half of the 1950s.
