Very rare and very beautiful large antique salad bowl in colorless molded glass by René Lalique, "Billes" model. This large dimension does not seem to be referenced as such, but it exactly reproduces the decoration of the Billes model of the bowl documented by RLalique.com. Antique circa 1937, Art Deco period. Unsigned, which is common for this model. Round shape with thick wall, entirely decorated with relief beads arranged in concentric circles, decreasing in size towards the center. 24cm in diameter, 10.9cm high. Good general condition considering age and use. There is a patina of use on the inside, mainly on the bottom and base, consisting of fine scratches, a slight calcareous film and some slightly frosted areas, as well as some scratches on the outside. The beads located under the base, in contact with the support, also show slight wear and a locally frosted appearance. Finally, there are some very discreet micro-chips on the inner rim. No significant cracks or chips. The glass contains a few rare small bubbles, related to manufacturing. Approximately 1.5kg to 2kg.
