This impressive chandelier is made of uranium glass and emits a magical fluorescent green under UV light. The bowl-shaped coupe is richly decorated with etched Art Deco birds in flight. A rare theme realized only at a few studios, such as André Delatte or similar master glass artists from Nancy. Everything about this piece is original: the suspension, wiring and frame are in exceptional condition. No damage, no chips - an almost intact time capsule of 1920s avant-garde design. André Delatte (1887 - 1953) was a prominent French glass artist from Nancy, active during the heyday of the Art Nouveau and early Art Deco periods. He founded the "Verrerie de l'Est" around 1919 in Jarville, near Nancy, and quickly gained international recognition with his expressive glass creations. Delatte was known for his mastery of pâte de verre, etched glass and engraved decorations, often executed in warm tones with floral or stylized motif.
