Small vintage apothecary jar by French Verrerie de Biot made of hand-blown, bubbly glass in a warm yellow tone with olive nuances. The slightly bulbous jar has a strong, hand-applied glass thread around the neck and a round, attached brand medallion. The name BIOT is recognizable on the medallion, even if the impression is not completely sharp. The jar comes with a cork stopper with a color-matching spherical glass knob. The cork shows a clear age-related patina and signs of wear. The numerous trapped air bubbles, the pontil mark on the bottom, and the irregularities of the applied glass thread are typical features of handcrafted production and not damage. Good age-appropriate vintage condition. No visible chips or cracks. Slight signs of wear and manufacturing-related irregularities are present.
