This Verona pendant lamp with a witch's hat was designed in the mid-1980s by Ad van Berlo and was called Xantippe. It was produced by Vrieland Design in the Netherlands (Vrieland United Factories B.V., Goes, the Netherlands). The lamp received an iF Design Award in 1987. This pendant lamp is labeled: Verona pendant, Knud Christensen Elektric A/S.
In 1987, Ad van Berlo received an award for his "Sweazy" desk lamp, also produced by Vrieland Design. On the iF Design Award website, it is incorrectly referred to as Ad van Beilo.
The lamp is in excellent condition, with no dents or damage.
