Vérité is a rectangular, solid-color rug.
Craftsmanship combines with contemporary design for this rug, designed by Charlotte Perriand during her stay in Japan in 1940. A Far Eastern legacy: Vérité depicts the Japanese ideogram for "Truth," or the Mandarin character for "Free" in Chinese, imprinted into the thick, bright red pile.
Each stage of the production of this designer rug, carried out by Tibetan artisans, is meticulously executed by hand using natural materials.

Hand-knotted (125,000 knots per square meter).
The rug in question is still in its original Cassina cover and has never been opened. I avoided opening it so that its future owner could do so. I performed a small Cut (see photo) to see if it was the red one.
