FYI: The first five photos are from a website.
Yosuke Ueno was born in 1977 in Tokyo, where he now lives. His art clearly reflects the artist's Asian roots and the influence of contemporary pop culture. Ueno's artworks are inspired by the Japanese religion Shinto, which is based on the peculiar and the enjoyment of nature. Cartoonish elements, young characters, unlikely plants, anthropomorphic animals, and creatures populate his surreal galaxies painted on canvas, all living happily in a psychedelic dimension of glossy surfaces. Ueno's compositions recall Miyazaki's supernatural universes, where whimsical characters propel the viewer's mind on a timeless journey to the unbelievable. Yosuke Ueno begins composing his scenes without a detailed plan, but gives the artwork the power to take shape on its own, allowing the artist's imagination to guide him. Blowing in the soft pollen of a magical wind, Ueno's figures are symbols of mixed cultures that always convey a message of cosmic vitality and positivity regarding life and death. These contrasting energies need each other, just as the earth and the sky need each other to realize the magic of the stars.
