This extraordinary vase by Ruscha Keramik is a striking example of the experimental design of the 1960s. The organically shaped body structure with its bulging, almost lava stone-like surface is typical of the so-called Fat Lava aesthetic. The coarse, porous glaze in shades of brown and cream gives the vase an almost sculptural effect. The eye-catching, angular handle underlines the expressive character of the piece - a real collector's item with a strong presence and artistic craftsmanship.
