Vase amber cloud glass Davidson column vase English Art Deco 1930s
In very good condition for its age of nearly 100 years, some signs of general light wear, no chips or cracks.
Vase, English, 1930s, beautiful and unusual model from the Art Deco period executed in amber - shiny on the outside and matted on the inside - cloud glass. This vase is executed with a 9-angle chalice, a round foot and a ditto top. This so-called column vase was made at George Davidson and Co Glassworks of Gateshead on Tyne and is listed in their 1931 catalog as model number 279. This model was produced in 3 different heights of which this is the highest variant. The vase is in very nice condition. Dimensions (HxW) 25 x 13,5 cm (top) / 12,5 cm (base).
