This is a three-piece desk set designed by Dries Vandenberghe for Vandenberghe-Pauvers, dating from 1979. The ensemble stands out for its clean, architectural lines and the seamless integration of the various elements, which is characteristic of Belgian design from that period.
The set is crafted from light oak and consists of a spacious main desk, a lower side table, and a mobile drawer unit with three drawers. The main desk measures 158 cm in width, 80 cm in depth, and 76 cm in height. The side table measures 158 cm wide, 45 cm deep, and 66 cm high, while the drawer unit is 45 cm wide, 45 cm deep, and 51 cm high. The natural wood grain and rounded corners contribute to the refined appearance of the set.
The desk set is in good condition, commensurate with its age and use since the original purchase. Over the years, the wood has developed an authentic patina that enhances the character of the furniture.
