Important Vallauris stoneware vase, made circa 1950-1960, hand-decorated.
The decoration, inspired by prehistoric cave paintings (Lascaux style), depicts animals, a hunting scene, and rock carvings, painted in black and ochre on a mottled gray background, characteristic of post-war Vallauris production.
The vase bears a painted signature in the form of monograms corresponding to that of the decorator, a common practice in Vallauris workshops for hand-decorated pieces.
