Product description
This set of a vase and candlestick comes from the renowned Bonaudi studio in Vallauris, an important center for French ceramics. The pieces date from the Mid-Century period and show the characteristic expressive style for which the region is known.
Both objects are made of ceramic and finished with a textured, multicolored glaze in shades of beige, brown, and subtle purple accents. The vase has an organic shape with a sturdy handle, while the candlestick has a twisted, ribbed stem on a wide, flat base with carved leaf details. The bottom of the vase is clearly signed 'Bonaudi Vallauris'.
The set is in excellent vintage condition, with an authentic patina consistent with its age and use. The original finish and the character of the handmade ceramics have been well preserved.
These decorative objects fit perfectly into a Mid-Century Modern or eclectic interior. They make an attractive addition to a sideboard, side table, or an open shelving unit.
