This is an authentic oval bowl by the Belgian crystal manufacturer Val Saint Lambert. The piece is an example of the 'Modèle Cérès', a design first documented in the 1913 catalogue. The bowl is made of clear, pressed crystal and features a characteristic geometric pattern of cut diamonds and stylized medallions. This design is typical of the transitional period from Art Nouveau to Art Deco, in which Val Saint Lambert played a leading role in European glass art. The dimensions of the bowl are approximately 32 cm in length and 9 cm in height, and the piece is marked 'VAL St LAMBERT BELGIQUE' on the underside.
