The Uten Silo II wall organizer, designed by Dorothee Maurer-Becker in the late 1960s, is a vintage version produced by Design M.
This storage system was designed as a practical solution for keeping small, everyday items organized and within reach. It is made entirely of ABS plastic with a few metal hooks.
This item is in beautiful vintage condition. It has normal signs of wear (scratches and stains on the inside of the storage compartments) but still has a beautiful sheen. The previous owner drilled two additional small holes to attach the unit to the wall, but this is not distracting. There are no cracks anywhere, and the back panel is still present.
It is also marked on the bottom, confirming that it is an early edition (see photos).
The Uten Silo II is an icon of functional pop design that quickly found its place in various museums.
