This cordless statement lamp was upcycled from an original amphora vase by Dümler & Breiden from their renowned Studio 71 line – model 302/21. A colorful and almost flamboyant example of German ceramics in the Pop Art style.
The vase impresses with its characteristic amphora shape, featuring side handles, and its intense, deep cobalt blue glaze combined with vibrant yellow and orange tones. The bold gradient glaze is typical of the experimental Studio 71 ceramics of the 1970s. With its sculptural presence, it makes a statement as an object in itself – as a lamp, it becomes a statement piece for creating a unique ambiance.

Careful Conversion to a Lamp: The conversion was carried out with utmost care and respect for the original object. The vase was converted without drilling and without any permanent alterations. The ceramic remains undamaged thanks to a skillfully adapted plug-in solution – its collector's value is fully preserved. The lamp base was weighted with sand for stability. The vase opening was sealed with a high-quality brass plate, and it features an E27 socket in a brass finish.
