Product description
This striking vase lamp was crafted from original Scheurich ceramic. The piece can be clearly identified as model 428-26 based on the base marking. Among collectors, the shape is often referred to as the "Vienna Model"—a term that refers to the elegant, slightly classic silhouette with a handle, rather than to an officially assigned model name.
The combination of its distinctive shape, fat lava glaze, and large lampshade makes this lamp a powerful focal point in any room design.
The vase dates from the heyday of West German Pottery in the late 1960s and early 1970s. During its conversion into a lamp base, the vase, with its base marking and collector's value, was left undamaged: no drilling, no alterations to the original vase. We used a gentle, fully reversible plug-in solution.
The vase has a hairline crack in the inner glaze at the top, which has been professionally repaired. When used as a vase, water might leak from this area; however, when used as a lamp base, the hairline crack is irrelevant. This minor flaw has been factored into the price.
The generously sized lampshade (30 cm diameter) ensures even light distribution and its pattern makes it a real eye-catcher.
The lamp is currently wireless and ideal for flexible placement without a power outlet. Wireless LED light source (battery): Conveniently recharges via USB-C.

Upon request, the lamp can be equipped with a cable module for an additional €45. This involves neatly and discreetly integrating a standard power cable into the socket – also without damaging the vase. Please mention this option when negotiating the price.
