A truly unique and charming vintage wooden storage box from the 1950s/60s. A beautiful piece of nostalgic folk art for the enthusiast, which presumably served as a potty cradle.
Unique craftsmanship: featuring a fascinating image of Donald Duck on both sides. This is not a sticker or a simple painting; the contours of the famous duck were manually hammered into the wood dot by dot by the previous owner. Hundreds of small dents combine to form the detailed outline, giving the image a beautifully tactile texture and depth. The entire piece was then hand-colored. A pure example of artisanal patience from a bygone era!
The cradle has a beautiful nostalgic silhouette with wide rocking beams. The woodwork and side walls are in a lived-in, yet structurally sound vintage condition with a beautiful patina. Wonderful as a decorative doll's bed, a storage box for magazines, or as a unique planter in a retro/bohemian interior. Item can be shipped; please contact us for costs per country.
