Unique pair of antique, separable single beds made of solid pine. This bed comes from an inheritance. Unfortunately, we do not have room for it ourselves. This stylish duo dates from the late Biedermeier / Historicism period (approx. 1890 - 1920) and is in authentic condition. The beds feature the iconic, hand-woven steel spring bases from the renowned quality manufacturer Beaumont. The brand name "BEAUMONT" is woven into the mesh along with the original, round factory logo. Furthermore, the frame features the original brass plate with the legally protected Dutch patent number (Dutch Patent No. 58448). The beds, which fit snugly against each other, are made of solid pine with a distinctive flame pattern. They can be easily locked together using wooden wedges via the authentic mortise and tenon joints. Classic country style with decoratively turned legs and a charming, scalloped trim at the bottom. Mattress size: 185 cm long x 87 cm wide (typical historical size, shorter than modern). The beds are in good, solid condition and the spring bases still provide excellent support. Ideal for an atmospheric bedroom, a historic townhouse, or as an eye-catcher in a Bed & Breakfast! Pick up preferred.
