Product description
Exceptional three-piece modular lounge set from Germany, dating from the 1980s. The three generously sized seating elements feature a characteristic low, rounded shape with deep, continuous upholstery across the seat, backrest, armrests, and sides. The set is upholstered in the original high-quality, densely woven jacquard fabric with a rich Persian-inspired figurative pattern depicting horsemen, animals, flowers, and small decorative scenes in warm shades of brown, red, blue, green, and ochre. The sturdy, almost tapestry-like fabric has a rich texture and appears particularly durable, adding extra depth and character to the design. The combination of the soft, voluminous shape, continuous ribbed upholstery, and distinctly decorative fabric gives the set a distinctly postmodern character. The three elements can be arranged together as a large modular seating area, but can also be used separately. The seating comfort is very pleasant, with a nice balance between softness and support: comfortable and generous without sinking too deeply. The sofa is in very good vintage condition. Slight sun discoloration is visible in a few places, mainly on parts that are largely out of sight in a modular configuration. With this sofa, you bring home a piece of interior design that you will find virtually nowhere else — quirky, distinctive, and anything but ordinary.
