Superb Underwood 310, an iconic model from the American brand, made in Spain. This typewriter illustrates Underwood's industrial transition period in Europe and is a sought-after piece for collectors.
The Underwood Typewriter Company is a long-established American typewriter brand, founded in 1895 in New York.
Its products became popular during the first half of the 20th century. Following financial crises, the company was acquired by Olivetti in the early 1960s.
This typewriter was purchased from an office supply store in Tarbes in the 1970s. It is complete, with all original parts visible (nameplate, internal mechanism). It features an AZERTY keyboard, its original carrying case with a handle, and its user manual.
As you can see from the photos, it is fully functional and in good condition. The ribbon is still usable; only the case shows signs of wear.
Ideal for a collection, an exhibition, or for writing, its understated, industrial design also makes it an excellent display piece.
