Ugo Zaccagnini (1868-1937) was an Italian sculptor and ceramist, known for the ceramic factory "Ugo Zaccagnini & Figli," later known as "Società Anonima Ceramiche Zaccagnini" and "Zaccagnini SpA." He was born in Pistoia and trained at the Scuola di Disegno Industriale in Sesto Fiorentino.
Early career:
He worked as a sculptor and modeler at the Richard-Ginori ceramics factory in Sesto Fiorentino until 1891.
Self-employed:
After his time at Richard-Ginori, he worked as a freelancer and in 1896 opened a company called S.I.F.M.A., which produced ceramics in traditional and Liberty styles.
Factory:
In 1905 he established his own factory, "Ugo Zaccagnini e Figli," headquartered in Florence.
