Two very nice large pendant lamps by Louis Poulsen designed by Arne Jacobsen in the 1960s. The inside and outside are enamel. The lamps have slight signs of use but in a clean and good condition throughout. Approximately 37 cm high Approximately 42 cm wide Arne Jacobsen was a prominent Danish architect and designer, born February 11, 1902 and died March 24, 1971. He is considered one of the most influential modernist designers of the 20th century and contributed significantly to the Scandinavian design movement. Jacobsen studied architecture at the Royal Danish Academy of Art in Copenhagen and began his career as an architect. His designs reflect a combination of functionalism and aesthetics, with a focus on simple lines and minimalist forms. He was involved in various architectural projects ranging from buildings to furniture designs. For Louis Poulsen, a Danish lighting manufacturer, Arne Jacobsen designed several iconic lamps that have become known worldwide. One of his most famous creations is the "PH lamp" (the abbreviation stands for Poul Henningsen, the designer of the original concept), which was introduced in 1958. This lamp is known for its innovative design, where the lampshades are carefully designed to achieve an even and pleasant light distribution. Jacobsen's collaboration with Louis Poulsen contributed to the company's success and left his mark on the world of designer lighting. His work is still appreciated today and his designs can be found in countless homes, offices and public spaces around the world.
