Product description
An elegant triple photograph frame in the Louis XVI style, likely dating from the late 19th or early 20th century.
It comprises three rectangular compartments with beveled glass, joined by a gilt metal frame. The neoclassical decoration combines openwork pediments with crowns and ribbons, foliate motifs, and rosettes between the photographs. Two ball feet and a rear easel allow the frame to be displayed on a piece of furniture.
The backs bear the printed mark "Roolf – Paris – Registered Trademark," accompanied by a crowned emblem.
A decorative piece to showcase three photographs or family portraits.
Condition: patina, oxidation, and wear to the gilt finish. The backs are old, stained, and worn, with damage to the corners of the spine. A visible chip and crack are present at one corner of the central glass.
Overall dimensions: height 16.5 cm; width 23.5 cm.
