Antique 75mm Shell Casing
Militaria from the WWI 1914-1918 Era (Collection)
Souvenir, Trench Art, Soldier's Craft.
Stamped DEC - Lot 1852 - Date 1918.
Sculpted, engraved, and scalloped brass with floral decoration.
A decorative souvenir that can be used as a vase, bud vase, or for other purposes.
However, it is not suitable for fresh flowers because the socket is split lengthwise for several centimeters,
and will leak.
Most of these sockets were produced after the war by the considerable number of wounded soldiers who were cared for to improve their daily lives, work, or simply survive.
Like this one, engraved 1919.
It's a beautiful tribute to preserve this kind of art. :)
