In French kitchens during the interwar period, the glass citrus juicer was an everyday morning object. Functional, solid, beautiful in its simplicity, it passed through the decades without aging. This one is made of clear pressed-molded glass, with beautiful molding quality. Its round shape, with a pouring spout and two small side handles, rests on a flat, eight-pointed star-shaped base. The central cone with radiating ridges is surrounded by a ring of raised dots that catch the seeds during juicing. The glass catches the light and redistributes it in all directions. The raised patterns on the base, seen through the glass, form an almost decorative motif. Diameter approximately 18-19 cm. Clear pressed-molded glass, France, circa . Still perfectly functional, it also finds its place as a decorative object in a vintage kitchen or a well-curated flea market shelf.
