This is an original Tomado wall rack, an iconic design from Dutch design history. The modular system, designed in the 1950s, is known for its minimalist and functional aesthetic characteristic of post-war modernism.
The wall rack is made of metal and consists of two black wire steel side panels and three adjustable shelves in the primary colors red, yellow, and white. The dimensions are 60.5 cm in height, 48 cm in width, and 12 cm in depth. Each component is marked 'TOMADO-HOLLAND', confirming the authenticity of the piece.
The object is in good vintage condition, retaining its original character and functionality. The colors have remained bright and the construction is sturdy.
The wall rack is in good vintage condition, commensurate with its age and use. The metal has developed an authentic character over the years, while the original finish has been preserved.
Although the item is in good vintage condition, there are always signs of age; minor discoloration, rust spots, or scratches in the paint. I have tried to capture that in the last photos.
