Pair of Art Deco Vases – Thulin Pottery (Belgium) – Stylized "Tulip" Decoration – Flamed Glaze – circa 1920-1930
A pair of authentic vases from the Thulin Pottery, located in the heart of the Borinage region of Belgium. These vases are emblematic examples of the "fired glaze" technique that made this factory famous during the Art Deco period.
The vases have a sculptural form reminiscent of tulip buds, with elegant handles. The glaze features a dramatic gradient ranging from a deep burgundy red (oxblood) to shades of ochre and golden yellow, creating a powerful and warm visual effect.
Each vase is marked on the base: Model Number: 277 (impressed).
Stamped "BELGIUM". Signature: A hand-painted decorator's mark (a small, distinctive sign) is present, guaranteeing the piece's handcrafted nature.
In very good antique condition. The vases are structurally perfect: no chips, cracks, or repairs.
Note: There are slight crazing marks (crazing) on the base of one of the vases, which are quite normal for ceramics of this period and attest to its authenticity.
