Up for auction is this high-quality pair of the design classic Thonet S 60, a modern interpretation of the cantilever chair, designed in 2001 by the renowned designer Glen Oliver Löw. According to the markings, the set offered here dates from the 45th week of 2011 and is in well-maintained, used condition.
These stackable chairs (model S 60 ST) combine timeless elegance with legendary Thonet seating comfort. They are upholstered in premium black Linea smooth leather on an ergonomically shaped seat shell, supported by a polished chrome-plated tubular steel frame. With a height of 84 cm, a width of 55 cm, a depth of 63 cm, and a comfortable seat height of 46 cm, these chairs are the perfect addition to any sophisticated dining room or office.
An important note regarding the accompanying photographs: The slight ripples or creases visible in the leather are not permanent marks or material defects. They are simply temporary marks resulting from the chairs being stacked immediately before the photo shoot. Once the leather has been left unused for a while, it will smooth out completely on its own.
I take great care in shipping and will prepare the chairs for transport with the utmost diligence. To protect their condition as much as possible, each chrome-plated armrest will be individually wrapped, and the leather surfaces will be protected from friction by soft padding. The entire set will be packed in a reinforced cardboard box with appropriate padding to ensure maximum safety during transport.
