The magazines show an issue of the newspaper "Der Völkerkrieg" (The War of Nations), a chronicle of events since July 1, 1914. Published by Julius Hoffmann in Stuttgart, the magazines dealt with the events of the First World War. They are a historical source offering insights into contemporary reporting on the war.
The magazines were written by Casimir Hermann Baer and appeared in several volumes. The issues shown here are unfortunately incomplete (35 issues) and are marked as "Issue 101, 103, 105-125, 127-132, 135-140, 142, 144-145." Therefore, a total of nine copies are missing. Among other things, it contains reports on Italy and the Vatican during the third half of the war, the Turkish War, the fighting on the Western Front, and the evacuation of the Balkans.
The magazine is an interesting historical document that provides insight into the contemporary perspective on the war.
