Product description
Sometimes something special starts very small. In April, I found a tiny plant at a flea market for just 25 euro cents. It had barely more than a single limp leaf on a single stem. Yet I felt it deserved a chance to grow. Months later, it has grown into a strong, graceful Spotted Begonia, full of leaves and countless tiny luminous dots. When the leaves move, the plant seems to dance—as if gently moving along with the music filling the room. In this work, I have captured its movement, growth, and special points of light in burnt lines on wood, complemented by acrylic and watercolor paints. The dots seem to float over the leaves like little lights, giving the plant a mysterious and alive quality. For me, The Swinging Light-Dot Bringer is about the unexpected beauty that can emerge when something small is given the space to grow. About movement, light, and resilience. About a small plant that once seemed like almost nothing—and eventually became an abundance of greenery, light, and life. A silent reminder that beauty sometimes begins with just one small leaf and a little trust. Technique: burned lines in wooden panel, acrylic and watercolor, finished with a protective layer. Dimensions: 30 x 21 x 1 cm.
