An absolute highlight of Dutch Mid-Century Design!
That's how we can rightly describe this dazzling armchair.
This relatively rare piece of furniture is a product of the renowned furniture factory De Ster and a contemporary of the famous "button" model. Because this model was somewhat overshadowed by other models in its time, it is now a very rare piece.
It is 100% certain that this model was made by furniture factory De Ster and is of unparalleled world-class design.
The sculptural frame, crafted from solid teak, features beautiful organic shapes and is open-worked on the sides. The whole is highly reminiscent of the designs and finishes sometimes seen on expensive ships. Just look at how beautifully the armrests blend into the frame – exceptionally beautiful!
The upholstery was completely replaced by skilled craftsmen. They chose a beautiful green melange upholstery fabric, extra soft and with a lovely texture, featuring a variety of green shades – exceptionally beautiful!
The frame features new tires on the underside and horizontal tension springs on the back, creating a unique look and exceptional seating comfort.
This unique eye-catcher might just be THE design classic that will steal the show, the new centerpiece of your mid-century interior.
