Set against a deep midnight black silk, the striking hexagonal grid is woven in metallic gold, encasing vibrant floral crests of Paulownia (Kiri) and Chrysanthemum (Kiku). In Japanese culture, the hexagon symbolizes longevity and protection, while the Paulownia is the emblem of the government and the Empress—a sign of high fortune and nobility.
